The Phoenix
Four Wheelers (P4W) club was founded in 1968 when it split off from
the Phoenix Jeep Club. Our club logo shows the Phoenix bird rising
from the ashes with a jeep underneath signifying from one club comes
another.
The club is
a member of the Arizona State Association of 4 Wheel Drive Clubs
(ASA4WDC) and the United Four Wheel Drive Association (UFWDA).
Four of its
members have received Four Wheeler of the Year, one Outstanding
Achievement and one Outstanding Contribution awards from the
ASA4WDC.
The club is
known for its annual Roundup and the P4W Ranch that they used for 27
years. This land is now private property and the club has found a
new location on BLM land 8 miles west of Lake Pleasant 1 mile north
of mile post 11 3/4 (5 miles east of the old Ranch).
The club has
done lots of work with conservation, one of their big projects was
the renovation of Reynolds Creek Group Campground near Young
Arizona. Members of the club have also served as chairs with the
State and BLM. |
